Business Transactions

Google Data Access

Sync School Events integrates with Google services to provide its core functionality. We request the minimum necessary access through OAuth 2.0 and never use your Google data for advertising.

Gmail (Read-only)

Scope requested: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly

  • We scan emails you already receive from your child’s school to detect dates of important events (e.g., trips, dress-up days).
  • We do not send, delete, or modify any of your emails.
  • We do not store complete email bodies. Only extracted event metadata (such as date, title, and class name) is stored in our database.

Google Calendar (Manage events)

Scope requested: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events

  • We create or update events in your Google Calendar to help you keep track of school events.
  • We only add or update events that come from detected school emails.
  • We avoid duplicates by checking existing events before creating new ones.
  • We do not access or change unrelated events or calendars.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • You may revoke Sync School Events’ access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings.
  • You may request deletion of your data through our Service at any time. When you disconnect your Google account, all stored metadata is removed within 30 days.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Data, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Our Service may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post the new policy here and update the “Last updated” date above. Please review periodically.
